Close to 10 years of my childhood (from about 1989 to about 1997) saw a fair portion of my free time devoted to baseball cards. Buying them, organizing them, trading them - collecting them. My collection peaked at somewhere around 10,000 cards plus various related memorabilia. I remember trying to imagine how much they'd be worth 20, or even 50 years down the road. Well it turns out they won't be worth much according to this story that mirrors my own experience with baseball cards.
